and i have to read the whole thing. it could kill a small child if you threw it at them.

Ah, no help on the SAT book, but as for the driver's test... the test for your learner's permit, do you mean? That one's pretty easy, actually. Twenty questions if I remember correctly, and you only need... fifteen? Twelve? I forget how many correct answers. Multiple-choice, and lots of dumb questions. ("a green light means:")
Although there are a few annoying trick questions, with multiple answers that are - or could be - technically "right", but only one of them is "correct". It's because of that crap that I had to do the permit test twice, but not a big deal.
